A Trip To Orlando
Pampered Special Indulged
These are words that come to mind when I think of our stay at Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando.
The grandness of the entrance has you anticipating something out of the ordinary. Check-in is quick and easy and within minutes you are in your room. The views from the rooms are panoramic. As always Hilton’s rooms have sumptuous beds, wonderful linens, a huge flat screen TV, a refrigerator and best yet electrical outlets everywhere! I love that as I am usually on my hands and knees looking for a place to plug in my iPhone. One of my other pet peeves is loud air conditioning units that blast cold air and then switch on and off during the night. Here you won’t even notice it and the temperature is just the way you like it.
Although it is right off I-4 and within the gates to Disney World this property feels as if you are in the countryside as it sits on a 482 acre nature reserve. Guests are able to rent bikes and enjoy the wide, car free cycling and take in the breathtaking landscape.
‘Summer Blast!’ is on now through September 4th. Guests can enjoy movies by the pool, kids’ games, pool side barbecues and more. All the actives are listed and given to guests at check-in.
The hotel has a 3-acre lazy river pool, world-renowned Guerlain® spa, championship golf club and a large fitness center that has all the latest equipment. A state-of-the –art convention center covers 15,000 sq. ft. And even offers outdoor meeting areas.
With 12 restaurants to choose from there are plenty of dining options. We liked Harvest Bistro that offers healthy choices for families for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can order off the menu or indulge in the extensive buffet. Kids under 12 eat free, excluding lunch. Muse is an upscale coffee shop that sells snacks, pastries and sandwiches. The cup- cakes they had were so cute; some were made to look like miniature hamburgers. La Luce was our favorite place to dine. A unique Italian restaurant infused with a Californian flair as Chef and owner Donna Scala brings her Italian roots with her Sonoma style to Florida.
The Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria are connected to each other giving you even more luxury to enjoy, you are able to use your room key to charge things at either property and use all the amenities.
Luxury all the way, unbeatable location and amazingly good value. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
I found rates as low as $111 per night on Priceline.com at the time of print.
Wow, what a deal!

They May Be Called the Blue Man Group, But They’re Anything But Blue…LOL
We had seen the Blue Man Group in Orlando at Universal Studios a few years ago but now the show has been revamped and is even more spectacular. New music, new affects and funnier than ever, it’s a show that gets kids and grandparents laughing out loud. The new set and sound system has the whole audience dancing in their seats and tapping away to the music. Huge floating balls bounce over your head. We had so much fun pushing them back and forth. It was a great interactive experience and a show we would all like to see again and again.
